PRF

PRF is a non-invasive aesthetic procedure that utilizes a patient's own blood to promote healing and rejuvenation. PRF involves drawing a small amount of the patient's blood, which is then centrifuged to separate its components. PRF may be applied topically after microneedling to stimulate the body's natural healing process and promote tissue repair. PRF can also be injected into the skin to improve skin quality, lessen fine lines and wrinkles, and brighten under eye circles. When PRF is injected into the scalp, it encourages hair growth and restoration.

At Skin Chalet, we offer one of the latest cutting edge technologies in the aesthetics industry, PRF Gel. This treatment utilizes your own albumin that we have heated then cooled to form a gel. It is then blended with your PRF to form your own natural filler. It can be used in the same treatment areas as dermal filler where you have volume loss and skin aging concerns. PRF Gel is a great alternative for those not wanting regular hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers. It is especially beautiful in the under eye area to improve hollows or dark circles. Since PRF Gel utilizes the patient's own blood, the risk of allergic reactions or adverse side effects is minimal. Chloe can assess your medical history, discuss potential benefits and risks, and create a personalized treatment plan tailored to your individual needs.

FAQS ABOUT PRF

RESULTS

The benefits of PRF and PRF Gel take time to develop. Over the following weeks and months as collagen production is stimulated, you will notice improvements in the treated areas such as brightening of under eye dark circles or lessening of fine lines. An initial series of three PRF sessions is recommended to achieve the desired results. These sessions are usually spaced 4-6 weeks apart.

RECOVERY

Avoid touching or disturbing the treated area for a few hours after the procedure. You cannot wear makeup for the rest of the day and if you also had microneedling, you cannot use any products other than those recommended by Chloe.

PRF treatment is minimally invasive, and most individuals can resume their normal daily activities immediately after the procedure. It is recommended that you do not perform strenuous activities for the remainder of the day. There is typically no need for significant downtime or restrictions on activities.

SIDE EFFECTS

It is common to experience mild swelling and redness at the treatment site immediately after PRF injections. These effects are temporary and usually subside within a few days.

Some patients may experience mild bruising at the injection sites, which is also a common and temporary side effect.
