RESULTS
The results of Sculptra are unique compared to traditional dermal fillers. Sculptra is a biostimulatory injectable treatment, meaning it stimulates the body's natural collagen production over time. Because of this, Sculptra's results develop gradually over several weeks to months with multiple treatments every 4-6 weeks. This slow process allows for a more natural and subtle enhancement, as collagen production is stimulated, and the skin's foundation improves.
Sculptra is particularly effective at restoring lost facial volume, which occurs naturally with age. As the body's collagen levels increase, the treated areas gain more fullness and plumpness, resulting in a youthful and rejuvenated appearance.
Sculptra not only addresses volume loss but also enhances skin quality and creates a youthful glow. The benefits of Sculptra can last up to two years or more, making it one of the longest-lasting treatments for facial rejuvenation. Regular maintenance treatments are recommended to maintain the desired results.
RECOVERY
Proper follow-up care after Sculptra injection is very important. You must massage the treatment area for 5 minutes per day, 5 times per day, for 5 days, or as directed by my provider.
While you can resume most daily activities immediately after Sculptra treatment, you must avoid intense physical exercise for the remainder of the day. This precaution helps reduce the risk of increased swelling and bruising. You may not use any makeup on your skin for the remainder of the day.
You should receive a facial or other treatment for 2 weeks following injection. It is advised that you do not travel for 24 hours following your treatment.
It's crucial to protect your skin from excessive sun exposure after Sculptra treatment, as UV rays can damage collagen and affect the overall outcome.
SIDE EFFECTS
The treated areas may appear slightly swollen immediately following Sculptra injection, but this typically subsides within a few days. Some patients may experience mild bruising at the injection sites. Bruising is a normal side effect and should resolve on its own over the course of several days to a week.
The injection sites may appear slightly red and tender for a short period after treatment, but these effects are temporary and usually resolve quickly.
In rare cases, small lumps or bumps may develop under the skin after Sculptra injections. These typically resolve on their own over time. Following the post-care massage instructions helps minimize the risk of this occurring.
Allergic reactions to Sculptra are very rare. It's essential to inform Chloe of any known allergies or sensitivities before the procedure.
