The UltraClear is a cold fiber laser — meaning it delivers precise energy into the skin with far less heat than traditional lasers. The Clear and Clear+ protocols are specifically tuned to target pigmentation, redness, and uneven tone. They work by breaking down discoloration and stimulating your skin's natural renewal process, so tone improves gradually and naturally over time. Clear+ is a more intensive version of the same treatment for patients who want faster or more significant results.
Both treatments use the UltraClear laser, but they're designed for different goals. The Glow & Go (3DMIRACL protocol) focuses on texture, smoothness, and luminosity — it's great for overall skin quality and glow. The Tone & Go targets pigmentation, redness, and discoloration more aggressively. If you're not sure which is right for you, we can figure that out together during your appointment.
Downtime is minimal. Most patients experience redness and mild flaking for 3-4 days after the treatment. You will need to avoid exercise and heat for 24 hours, but after that there, is no significant recovery period. We recommend avoiding intense sun exposure for a few days and keeping up with SPF.
Many patients see noticeable improvement after one treatment, but a series of 3 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart produces the most complete and lasting results — especially for deeper pigmentation or sun damage that has built up over time. We'll recommend a plan based on what we see at your appointment.
Yes — and this is one of the things that genuinely sets the UltraClear apart. Many traditional pigment-targeting lasers carry a higher risk on darker skin tones, including the risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
